Booking & Sessions

How do I hire an SPSS tutor?

Open the Hire SPSS Tutor form, enter your contact details and academic level, describe the SPSS or statistics topic you need help with, choose a package or select “Not sure yet,” and submit the request. You will receive an inquiry ID for follow-up.

What happens after I submit my request?

We review the topic, academic level, deadline, files, and tutoring needs. You receive a confirmation and inquiry ID, and we reply by email if anything needs clarification or to confirm the next step.

Are the sessions private?

Yes. Standard tutoring is delivered as private 1:1 online support focused on the material you need to understand.

Can I book more than one session?

Yes. In addition to 60-minute and 90-minute sessions, the pricing page includes 4-session and 8-session tutoring packages for students who want ongoing support.

Can you work with students in different time zones?

Yes. SPSS Tutors is based in Kenya and teaches students internationally. Include your country or time zone in the request so scheduling can be discussed clearly.

FAQ TOPIC

Pricing & Payment

Why does tutoring cost more at Master’s and PhD level?

Higher academic levels often require more preparation, more advanced statistical reasoning, and deeper discussion of methods, assumptions, diagnostics, interpretation, and research context. Pricing therefore varies by academic level.

Do I have to pay immediately after submitting the form?

No. If you select a priced package, you can proceed to secure checkout, but you may also wait for our reply if you want the package confirmed before paying.

How can I pay?

Priced packages can be paid through the secure PayPal checkout, which can also support eligible card payments depending on the checkout options available to you.

What if I am not sure which package I need?

Choose “Not sure yet” on the Hire SPSS Tutor form. Describe the topic and where you are stuck, and we can recommend a suitable next step after reviewing the request.

FAQ TOPIC

Academic Levels

Which students do you tutor?

The main pricing structure covers undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD or doctoral students. Other university students and researchers can still submit a request and choose “Not sure yet” for the package.

Can beginners get SPSS tutoring?

Yes. You can start with basic navigation, entering or importing data, variable setup, descriptive statistics, choosing a statistical test, and learning how to read SPSS output.

Do you help with dissertations and theses?

Yes, where tutoring is permitted by your institution. Sessions can focus on understanding statistical methods, SPSS procedures, assumptions, output interpretation, supervisor feedback, and how to explain your own analysis.

FAQ TOPIC

SPSS & Statistics Support

What SPSS topics can I get help with?

Tutoring can cover SPSS basics, data preparation, descriptive statistics, confidence intervals, t tests, ANOVA, correlation, regression, logistic regression, nonparametric tests, reliability, factor analysis, assumption checks, output interpretation, and related statistical concepts. Advanced requests are reviewed individually.

Do you only teach SPSS clicks and menus?

No. The aim is to teach the statistics together with the software. A session can cover why a method is appropriate, the assumptions behind it, how to run it in SPSS, how to read the output, and what the result means.

Can you help me choose the correct statistical test?

Yes. You do not need to know the exact test before contacting us. Bring the research question, variables, study design, or assignment instructions and the tutor can help you reason through an appropriate analysis.

Can you help me interpret SPSS output and report results?

Yes. Tutoring can focus on identifying the relevant values in SPSS output, understanding what they mean, and learning how results are commonly communicated in clear academic writing or APA-style reporting where appropriate.

FAQ TOPIC

Files & Privacy

What files can I attach to my request?

The inquiry form accepts common learning and analysis files including PDF, Word, Excel, CSV, TXT, SPSS .sav or .zsav data files, and SPSS syntax files. Current upload limits are shown directly on the form.

Should I upload data containing names or personal identifiers?

No. Remove unnecessary participant names, IDs, passwords, and other sensitive or identifying information before uploading files. Use de-identified data whenever possible.

Do I need to attach files before asking for help?

No. Files are optional. A clear description of the topic and where you are stuck may be enough to start the conversation.

FAQ TOPIC

Academic Integrity

Will you complete my assignment or dissertation for me?

No. SPSS Tutors is a teaching service. The goal is to help you understand the statistical reasoning, perform the SPSS steps appropriately, interpret the results, and become able to explain your own work.

Can I bring an assignment question to a tutoring session?

Yes, where tutoring is allowed by your institution. The tutor can use the question to teach the relevant concept and process, but you remain responsible for completing and submitting your own academic work.

Who is responsible for checking my university’s rules?

You are responsible for following the academic-integrity, assessment, data-protection, and tutoring rules that apply to your course or institution.
